How to Read a Certo Rating

Each Certo Rating consists of three elements:

Certo Score — a synthetic assessment of governance quality on a scale from 0 to 100. A result above 70 indicates compliance with the minimum governance standards required by the Foundation.

Certo Vector — the direction of change in governance quality since the last assessment:

Validity date — A Certo Rating is issued for a period of 12 months. After this period expires, the entity must undergo a new assessment to maintain active status.

Rating verification

Each active rating is publicly verifiable. To verify a rating:

  1. Find the entity in the database below
  2. Click the Trust Badge Certo next to the entity's name
  3. The system will display cryptographic proof of the rating along with the date of issuance and the scope of assessment

Verification requires no login or registration. It is available to anyone, at any time.
